Spontaneous Susy Breaking in N=2 Super Yang-mills Theories
It is shown that the same essentially non-semiclassical mechanism, which generates in the nonsuper-symmetric pure Yang-Mills theory the binary condensate of gauge field strengths, is responsible for the spontaneous breaking of the two supersymmetries in N=2 super Yang-Mills systems. A detailed discussion is presented in ref. 1
متن کاملTopological Yang-Mills Theories and Donaldson’s Polynomials
The N = 2 topological Yang-Mills and holomorphic Yang-Mills theories on simply connected compact Kähler surfaces with pg ≥ 1 are reexamined. The N = 2 symmetry is clarified in terms of a Dolbeault model of the equivariant cohomology. We realize the non-algebraic part of Donaldson’s polynomial invariants as well as the algebraic part. We calculate Donaldson’s polynomials on H(S,Z)⊕H(S,Z). 1991 M...
متن کاملThe Microscopic Approach to N = 1 Super Yang-mills Theories
We give a brief account of the recent progresses in super Yang-Mills theories based in particular on the application of Nekrasov’s instanton technology to the case of N = 1 supersymmetry. We have developed a first-principle formalism from which any chiral observable in the theory can be computed, including in strongly coupled confining vacua. The correlators are first expressed in terms of some...
متن کاملInstantons in Deformed Super Yang-Mills Theories
We study the instanton effective action in deformed four-dimensional N = 2 and N = 4 super Yang-Mills (SYM) theories. These deformed gauge theories are defined on the D-brane world-volume in the presence of constant, self-dual Ramond-Ramond (R-R) 3-form field strength background F which is scaled as (2πα′) 1 2F = fixed in the zero-slope limit α′ → 0. The instanton effective action is obtained b...
